Branding Process

A series of collaborative workshops to to reveal your business's true personality and displayed through your new unique visual brand identity.

Brand Audit

During the discover phase, we'll talk about your business as it stands today. How do people view your business and you? Does this differ from how you want to be perceived? We'll discuss where you want to be, and come up with a plan for how to get there. If there are multiple people working for your business, feel free to bring them along too. Their input will be extremely valuable!

What's Your Story

Every business starts with a story. Why did you start your business? In this day an age, people want to know everything there is about you and your business. Who are you? What is your purpose? What are your values or beliefs? What are you selling, and how will it benefit your clients? We'll answer these questions, then I'll write your mission, vision, and values statements to reveal the who, what, where, when, and why for your business.

Target Audience

Finding the right customers for your business can be like dating. It's not just about how good you are at what you do. It's also about whether they "mesh" with you. This goes both ways. What kind of clients or customers are you looking for? Through research and the creation of customer personas, we'll learn about the people in your target market including what motivates them, and how they make purchase decisions so you can target your marketing efforts toward them.

Positioning

Whether someone is buying product or a service, we all tend to compare. There are a million other businesses providing the same services as you, and you need to stand out. What makes you different? Why should your target audience choose you over someone else? This is what we'll explore. We'll go over your business strengths and weaknesses, and pinpoint what makes you unique.

Brand Personality

Your brand's personality refers to how it comes across to its audience through imagery, tone of voice, and other forms of messaging. For concept brands, this is like creating the main character in a book. For soloprenuers, this can be as simple as revealing your own true personality—sometimes easier said than done! By completing a series of worksheets and mood boards, your brand's true personality will reveal itself so I can design a brand identity that's unique to your business.

Brand Identity Design

With all the information about your brand, I'll get to work designing your new visual identity, including your logo, color palette, typography, iconography, imagery, and messaging.

Brand Style Guidelines

Your brand's style guidelines will contain everything created from each phase of the branding process containing your brand's visual identity, messaging, mission and vision statements, values, personality, and positioning within your market. This will tell your brand story and helps you maintain consistency across your marketing channels. It also serves as an excellent guide for employees, marketers, and designers, so they can remain consistent when creating your website, business cards, stationary, and social media posts.
